Samantha Wright
Nurse Principal Investigator / Senior Research Nurse
Sam started in the NHS in 1988 and has had a varied career in secondary, tertiary and primary care settings within general medicine, management and research.
Sam’s speciality is Rheumatology where she has worked as a Specialist Nurse and more recently managed a Rheumatology Research Unit in Cambridge. During this role her team achieved the NIHR Inclusive working award 2023 for an out-reach project on research accessibility for all.
As Sam is a Nurse Principle Investigator on academic studies, she has been able to work with cluster surgeries offering research to patients who have not had an opportunity to participate.
As a Senior Research Nurse she is involved with delivering commercial studies within Wansford.
